Hallowe’en horror - violent gang robbery in Houghton Regis
Crime
A man was chased by a 30-strong gang who attacked him with ‘a brick’ as he walked home in Houghton Regis last night (October 31).
The 32-year-old victim was walking in Parkside Drive at about 6pm when he noticed the gang heading towards him.
Fearing for his safety, he ran away but the mob pursued him, shouting and swearing.
The victim was hit in the head with what is believed to have been a brick, but continued fleeing.
He was caught when he had to slow down to operate a gate – one of the offenders grabbed his rucksack containing personal items including his mobile phone, before the victim managed to get away.
The victim was able to give a description of one of the offenders – a black male in his mid-teens, about 5ft tall, wearing a scarf with black and white spots over his face.
If you witnessed the attack or have any information about the incident, contact police on the non-emergency number 101.
