Train operator First Capital Connect says passengers should expect continued delays on the Thameslink route today after problems with overhead wiring at Radlett.

Overnight, Network Rail repaired two of the four lines between Radlett and St Albans. Fewer trains are able to run than normal and those which are running will be subject to cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes.

A First Capital Connect spokesman said: “We apologise for the severe disruption to the Thameslink route and strongly advise customers to allow extra time to complete their journey or use alternative routes, which can be found here.

“For your return journey, please also leave as much time as possible.”
