Police release a Christmas single with the X factor

It’s the time that every burglar has a ball, or so say Bedfordshire Police in their recently-released Christmas single.

A cover of Slade’s much-loved 1973 yuletide anthem ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’, Beds Police’s song ‘Christmas Crime Reduction’ delivers an important message about staying safe this festive season.

The fun song – with lyrics such as “Have you locked the upstairs window? Don’t leave your keys by the door, Have you turned the light on so that they’re not sure?” – outlines steps that residents should take to avoid becoming a victim of crime over Christmas.

The song also features instructions to visit Beds Police’s website for further tips and advice on how to deter burglars.
