Priory Hall is ‘modernised’ after revamp

Priory Church Hall has been re-opened following a refurbishment made posible by Dunstable Old People’s Welfare Assocation.

The hall’s opening on was performed by Paddy Bannon, secretary of the Hayward Club – a club that has used the hall’s facilities for more than 40 years.

Situated in the centre of town and with ample parking opportunities, the Welfare Association The modernisation of the venue includes new flooring, the lowering of the main hall’s ceiling and even a new kitchen and a new boiler.

There is also a carpeted and decorated ‘quiet room’, and new vanity units have been fitted in the toilets.

A spokesman for the hall said: “Realising its potential, the Association donated a generous amount of money to make the hall much more attractive, light and airy.

This has all changed a dirty, tired, cold and depressing space into a vibrant, colourful and attractive venue.”
