Red Nose Day at Lark Rise Academy

Comic Relief events in Dunstable and Houghton Regis proved that schoolchildren really do have a nose for fundraising.

On Friday, March 15, Dunstable’s Lark Rise Academy celebrated Red Nose Day by swapping uniforms for pyjamas and snuggly “onesies”.

Pupils and staff all joined in the fun, paying £1 to take part, and raised £265.

Other fundraising events for the charity included two school discos in Houghton, on March 8.

Staff from Sainsbury’s, in Dunstable, were the DJs and helped organise the discos, at Hawthorn Park Lower School and at Houghton Regis Academy, which raised more than £500 in all for Comic Relief.
