Keep your eyes peeled to The Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV next month and you may just spot a few familiar faces.

Members of Luton and Dunstable’s Rock Chorus joined a 50-strong group to record a jingle for the financial guru’s show.

Musical director Lauren Field was asked to write the piece in three-part harmony to be sung a capella.

The eight-line jingle is about the merits of saving in an ISA (Individual Savings Account).

There will be a break ‘bumper’ advertising the show on ITV on March 28, followed by the programme itself at 8pm on April 5.

Dunstable Rock Chorus member Charles Foskett said the jingle was recorded at Spitalfields Market last month.

“We were warned there would be a lot of waiting around in the cold – and there was,” he smiled.

“But we all looked the part in our Rock Chorus hoodies, complete with logo.”

When presenters Martin Lewis and Saira Khan of The Apprentice fame appeared. a crowd gathered to see what all the excitement was about.

Charles, a composer and producer, said: “It was a great experience. The process was fascinating and seemed quite casual.

“We were told ‘It’s a wrap’ about three hours later.”

He added: “My involvement with the Rock Chorus has been really uplifting and has changed my life for the better.

“We’ve performed many fundraising gigs, the most notable being for the Macmillan Unit at the Luton&Dunstable Hospital in 2011 when we raised £13,500.”
