Sainsbury’s in Dunstable is up and running again today, Wednesday, October 31, after its one-week closure for work on a multi-million pound makeover.

The Luton Road store and petrol station reopened at 9am.

Before the temporary closure, a major makeover had been given to the store’s car park, and a bigger and better pharmacy was already in place.

The team said they have had to close for a time to allow other improvements to be carried out.

Now the store is up and running again and is able to offer extended ranges in areas such as the clothing and home sections.

The refurbishment project also involved providing better cafe facilities, new fridges and freezers for the store, and improvements to the petrol station.

Store manager Jim Bavington said the new-look facilities would provide “a better shopping experience with improved ranges in many areas”.
