Beds Fire and Rescue Service has urged Dunstable residents to be particularly careful this Bonfire Night following a number of recent wheelie bin fires and rubbish fires.

Dunstable Station Commander Ade Yule said: “Simple steps include not leaving your wheelie bin outside the front of your house overnight and making sure that there are no combustible items – such as rubbish and wood – left close to your home.

Details of how to celebrate safely, are available on the Beds Fire website, www.bedsfire.com
