Teen beaten in attempted Houghton Regis robbery

A teenager was attacked by a group of youths as they attempted to rob him in Houghton Regis on Sunday (October 14).

The incident happened at about 6.30pm as the 16-year-old male was walking along Richmond Drive towards Trident Drive, close to the small bridge.

The victim was approached by a group of seven or eight males with one of them grabbing him by the neck and demands were made for him to hand over money and property.

The victim was then searched and when nothing was found, he was punched in the face and the group fled towards Fensome Road.

There were two main offenders in the group. The first is described as a white male, 16 to 17 years old, 5ft 6ins, of stocky build, clean shaven, dark hair, clear complexion and wearing a purple hooded top.

The second was also a white male, of similar age, around 5ft 5ins tall and of skinny build.
