Kensworth Vintage and Classic Car Rally

Vehicle fans had rally good fun in Kensworth on Sunday, September 2.

They browsed around an interesting range of entries at the 17th Kensworth Vintage and Classic Car Rally, in Dovehouse Lane.

The rally was organised by the Beds and Herts Vintage and Classic Car Club. Chairman Colin Toten said: “It went very well – it was a good day.”

There were 13 classes for vehicles, including vintage, post-vintage, classic, American cars, commercial, emergency, public service and military vehicles, motorcycles and tractors.

The oldest vehicle was a 1911 Maxwell owned by Nigel Slatford, of St Albans, which came second in its class.

Best in Show went to Kelvin Webb, of Oxfordshire, for his 1950/60s Tojeiro. Other wins included the award for the Best Club Stand display, given to the Luton and Dunstable MG Owners’ Club.
