A collection of irreplaceable war medals was among items stolen during a burglary in Dunstable last week.
Nine World War 2 medals, various men’s designer watches, jewellery and a flatscreen television were taken from a property in Capron Road on Wednesday, March 13.
The burglary happened between 5.30pm and 9.36pm when offenders forced a door open to gain access to the house.
>Items including ‘Jackie Kennedy-style’ jewellery were stolen during another raid in Lancot Drive on March 9.
The incident happened between 7.30pm and 7.52pm when offenders got into the house by smashing a glass panel next to the door.
PC Helen Toms said: “This jewellery belong to an elderly resident and is of significant sentimental value. Clearly the people who stole this jewellery will need to sell it somewhere and I would encourage anyone who may have been offered this type of item to contact the police as soon as possible.”
“It is believed a black Audi A4 was seen in the area at around the time of the offence and we need to trace the driver of this car or anyone else who may have seen anything suspicious in the area.”
If you have information about either incident, call Beds Police on 101.
