Woman mugged in street for headphones
A burglar subjected a young woman to a “frightening” ordeal during a Dunstable street robbery in which all he took was a pair of headphones.
At about 6.50pm last Friday (August 24), the 24-year-old victim was in a footpath behind Weatherby when she was approached from behind by a white male.
The offender grabbed her by the mouth and pulled her to the floor before making off with the headphones.
He is described as being in his early teens, about 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build.
He had short dark hair that was slightly pointed at the front and right hand side, no facial hair, a clear complexion and brown eyes.
He wore a red short-sleeved T-shirt – possibly a football shirt – with a blue or white collar and writing across the chest, light-blue jeans and white trainers with a blue band running around the sole.
Det Con Barry Kerr said: “This was a frightening and upsetting experience for the victim and it is vital that we find the person responsible as quickly as possible and stop him from committing any further offences.”
Anyone with information is urged to call Det Con Kerr on 01582 473134 or the non-emergency number 101.
