Young brothers robbed

Two young brothers were robbed and threatened as they walked home from school in Dunstable on Monday (October 8).

The victims, aged 15 and 16 were walking through Dog Kennel Walk – a crime hotspot in recent months – at about 5pm when two youths stopped the pair and asked them for a cigarette.

After the victims explained that they did not smoke they walked away but were then overtaken by the offenders.

Threats were made and the youths demanded property from the boys as well as making threats.

The offenders then searched one of the victim’s bag before taking a mobile phone.

Both offenders are described as white males, between 15 and 17 years old.

The first wore a blue hooded top, blue jogging bottoms, gloves and white training shoes.

The second wore a grey hooded top, grey jogging bottoms, a baseball cap, grey gloves and black trainers.

PC Arnold, investigating, said: “The brothers do remember seeing at least two other people in the area at the time of the offence.

The first was carrying an Asda plastic bag and the second was riding a push bike.

These people could hold vital information that could help this investigation and I would urge them or anyone with information to come forward and assist with this inquiry.”

Anyone with information should call police on the non-emergency number 101.
