Dunstable residents are being urged to nominate a local cause which deserves a £100 donation.

To celebrate reaching 100 stores nationwide, ScS, one of the UK’s leading sofa and carpet specialists, has pledged to give away a total of £10,000 to 100 good causes nationwide.

As a thank you to Dunstable residents for supporting their store at White Lion Retail Park, the company are asking residents to nominate an established local charity, community group or voluntary organisation, which they believe deserves an important boost to its funding.

Paul Burke, sales director at ScS, said: “We’re launching our ‘100 Good Causes’ campaign to say a massive thank you to each of the local communities that have supported us on our journey to reaching the milestone of 100 stores.

“100 stores is an incredible achievement and could not have been done without the hard work and dedication of our employees, past and present. We now employ more than 2,000 people across the UK, and together we look forward to benefiting 100 local good causes from our fund.”

People from across the Dunstable area are encouraged to head to their nearest store and complete a nomination form and the local cause with the most votes will win the prize.

Nominations will run from March 2 to March 24, with the winning causes announced from March 27.

ScS is one of the UK’s leading sofa and carpet retail companies, with 100 stores nationwide from as far north as Aberdeen right down to Plymouth.

An ScS spokeswoman said: “The company seeks to offer the perfect combination of value, choice and the latest home furnishing trends through a wide range of flooring products.”
