An awards presentation at Parkside Neighbourhood Centre, in Houghton Regis, was all in the family.
For seven families were invited to the centre to celebrate gaining their Level One national open college network awards.
Parents and their children had attended a 10-week PEEP course (Parents’ Early Educational Partnership).
They took part in the Learning Together programme, which helps parents make the most of everyday learning opportunities at home, and they recorded their children’s achievements in a portfolio book.
The Children’s Society mascot joined in the celebrations, at which certificates and profile books were presented to the parents.
