Police investigate fatal collision near Caddington

Police investigating a fatal collision near Caddington this morning are appealing for witnesses.

Emergency services were called at around 7.05am to reports of a collision between a motorbike and a white Mazda near to the Horse and Jockey pub on the A5, Watling Street, near Caddington.

Sadly, a man in his 50’s was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

PC Andy Ralph from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Forensic Collision Investigation Unit said: “The collision happened in the morning at a fairly busy time, and I would be keen to hear from anyone who was travelling in the same area this morning.

“If you saw anything, please contact us as your information could be vital in piecing together the events leading up to the collision.”
