Young musicians are enjoying the opportunity to play different instruments at music workshops at Watling Lower School this summer.
Four music teachers are providing music classes at the Bull Pond Lane school on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout the summer holidays.
Sue Vought, one of the music teachers, said: “It is going really well, we have had about 45 children coming to the different sessions.
“They are really enjoying playing all the different types of instruments, we have got cornets, horns, drums, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards and pianos. They are choosing whichever instruments they like and having a really good time.
“At the end of each session the parents are able to see the children performing a song together and they have been impressed.”
There are places available at the classes, there are two time slots to choose from, 9:30am till 12:30pm or 2.30pm till 5.30pm.
She added: “One thing that really makes us smile is the number of people who booked for one or two sessions and have come back for more.”
The sessions are £5 per class, to book a session email firstname.lastname@example.org.
