Calling all beer lovers! The Sugar Loaf in Dunstable is offering you a free pint of beer and the chance to make history next month, when it attempts to break the record for the most people drinking the same beer at the same time.
The date for your diary is Friday September 18 at 7pm .
The current record of 714 people was set last November in Mexico.
TCG, the pub group that owns the Sugar Loaf, is aiming to smash it by gathering drinkers in 40 of its pubs to enjoy a free pint of Hobgoblin ale, and sending in a photo of the occasion as evidence to the Guinness Book of Records.
To join in the fun and help your local get into the record book, you must pre-register on the Proud of Our Ale Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Proud.of.Our.Ale
The World Record Attempt marks the start of the ‘Proud of Our Ale’ beer festival, which runs through to October 31.
