Southern League Premier Division: Dunstable Town 0 Cirencester Town 3
Dunstable Town suffered their fourth league loss with a disappointing 3-0 defeat at home to Cirencester Town on Saturday.
The hosts brought in on-loan Reading academy goalkeeper George Legg for Nathan Abbey, while Ryan Hope, signed from Boreham Wood, also started.
Curtis Shaw was on the bench, while the suspended Chris Marsh and injured Ben Herd missed out too.
The out of form hosts made a ponderous start, although Charlie Henry went close, while Luke Ruddick did his best to get forward.
Cirencester then took the lead in fortuitious fashion on 28 minutes as Brad Hooper’s cross wrongfooted Legg and ended up in the top corner.
Dunstable tried to mount a fight back as Scott Davies headed Ruddick’s cross wide, while Josh Parsons was off target for the visitors.
After the break, Legg denied Parsons, before the Blues had a fine chance when Henry sent Tony Burnett clear, but he was denied by Glyn Garner.
Hope’s shot was also saved by the visiting keeper, before on the hour mark, Cirencester killed the game with two quick goals.
First, Gethin Jones headed into the net and then Matt Liddiard’s shot trickled over the line as Dunstable were left defeated.
The Blues host Luton Town in the Bedfordshire Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
