Luton Town Ladies were crowned County Cup winners after hammering Offley & Stopsley 8-1 in the final on Sunday.
Natasha Fensome scored a hat-trick while both Jess Mckay and Joanne Rutherford got a brace and Shannon Pratt netted the other in what was an outstanding display by The Hatters.
Holly Flynn scored a late consolation goal but any hopes that Offley & Stopsley had of a comeback were already buried after being totally outclassed.
The Hatters took the lead after five minutes when Mckay whipped a dangerous corner kick in and Pratt made no mistake tapping in from six yards.
Town doubled their lead after 13th minutes with a glorious lob from Mckay following an assist from Rutherford that Moss was powerless to stop.
Rutherford, who was simply outstanding and put in a man of the match performance made it 3-0 10 minutes later with a composed finish.
Rutherford got her well-deserved second when she struck the ball in from close range following some brilliant build up play from Kezia Hassall.
After the interval, Fensome made the most of some miscommunication between Moss and Laura Simpson at the back to tap in for 5-0.
Both Fensome and Mckay soon doubled their goal tally with a strike and a header from close range.
Offley & Stopsley pulled one back in the 89th minute after Flynn headed in from a Shanice Sanderson corner.
Fensome completed her hat-trick deep into extra time to finish the game 8-1.
Manager Nikki Baker said: “I was really happy to win because, like I said on many occasions, this has been an underachieving season for us. So to come here and win the County Cup the way that we did and score eight goals is really pleasing.
“We controlled the game from the first minute all the way through so I think we definitely deserved to win.”
Striker Joanne Rutherford was rewarded with the player of the match crown and said: “This season has been tough for me, I was injured at the start so I’ve just come back and I found it tough but it’s always nice to score goals and get a few assists.”
Hatters host Ipswich in the FA Women’s Premier League South East Division on Sunday.
