Dunstable Town boss Anthony Fontanelle is in a positive mood ahead of the Blues’ rearranged clash against Stratford Town.

The Blues gointo the encounter, which was supposed to take place last Tuesday, but was postponed due to a frozen pitch. without Lee Roache, Luke Pennell, Victor Osubu and Chris Vardy.

However, Dunstable beat Dorchester Town on Saturday with a hard-fought 1-0 win, and Fontanelle is keen to build on that success.

He said: “I think it will be pretty much the same sort of work ethic and a similar sort tactics.

“Unfortunately for us, every game seems to be against a side in the play-off spots, or with the potential to be there and Stratford is one of those teams, so this is going to be another tough game.”

Fontanelle was also keen to play down the home side’s form and keep the players’ feet firmly on the ground.

He added: “When we are doing well, we try not to get too far ahead of ourselves, and likewise if we do come unstuck and lose a couple of games, we will try not to be too low.

“It is about getting that balance and consistency, as well as trying to grind out results, week-in, week-out.”
