Tranmere Rovers boss Gary Brabin was delighted to secure the signing of Hatters captain Steve McNulty on loan with a view to a permanent deal yesterday.
The 32-year-old, who helped Town to promotion from the Conference and made 125 appearances in total, has moved back to Merseyside to be closer to his family.
On the deal, Brabin, who managed Luton between 2011-12, told Rovers’ official website: “This signing is a big plus for us. Steve is a local lad, a leader and was in the League Two Team of the Year last season.
“He is the type of player and character that we want at the club and I think it strengthens our squad even more so I’m delighted to be able to bring him here.”
