Luton Town have announced that Barnfield College are to be the new shirt sponsor for the Hatters’ 2015-16 campaign.
The Luton-based Further Education College, who have recently unveiled their new logo, will feature on the front of all home, away and third kits, including replica kits from the beginning of the season.
“It’s fantastic to have Barnfield on-board”, said Hatters chief executive Gary Sweet. “With the departure of easyJet as shirt sponsor, we were hoping to be able to enter into a new agreement with an organisation with strong links to the Town.
“When Barnfield came forward as a potential sponsor it made perfect sense and we’re absolutely delighted to have them involved.
“The mutual collaboration has club/college synergy . Working with Barnfield will help us raise the profile of both the Club and the College and will offer huge benefits to the Club, its supporters, Barnfield and its students in many other ways.”
“On behalf of the players, supporters and everyone at the Club, I’d like to welcome Barnfield to the Luton Town family.”
Barnfield College Principal and CEO Tim Eyton-Jones added: “Barnfield College is undergoing a transformation of quality led curriculum to meet the demands of local companies to provide a skilled workforce.
“We expect every student to progress into employment, Higher Education or develop entrepreneurial flair. This exciting local partnership offers tangible benefits to our students and provides an ideal platform for Barnfield to forge closer links with the community.
“The profile of the relationship fits with the three year college strategy to take the college to a an outstanding future. We recognise the strength of LTFC 15/16 season’ s team which totally underpins the direction for the students, staff and management here at the two campuses.”
