Mark Tyler: 5.5 - Superb close range save with the scores goalless before a shocking error handed the game to Bristol Rovers.

Stephen O’Donnell: 5.5 - Tried to hare forward when the chance arose but that was far too infrequent as Luton lacked any adventure.

Jake Howells: 5.5 - Did his job on the line but let down by his fellow defenders who let Gaffney follow up. Subbed as Town tried to find a way back.

Scott Cuthbert: 5.5 - Some good clearances once more but couldn’t help his side repeat their defensive solidity shown at Portsmouth.

Magnus Okuonghae: 5 - Doesn’t radiate a great deal of confidence amongst the back-line and didn’t track his runner as Rovers took a lead they never looked like handing back.

Cameron McGeehan: 5.5 - Started on the right and then swapped to the left, before moving more centrally, although never looked like hitting his early season heights.

Jonathan Smith: 5 - Snapped into a number of challenges but when given time and space on the ball, was too often found wanting.

Alex Lawless: 5 - Never really won the midfield battle with Smith as Rovers found it easy to move the ball through the central areas.

Ryan Hall: 6 - Some good crosses and corners and at least tried to get a shot on target but can be too easily dispossessed at times, especially when on a break.

Craig Mackail-Smith: 5.5 - Chased and harried to win a number of corners early on for Luton as yet again had absolutely no sights of goal throughout.

Paul Benson: 5.5 - Few lovely flicks but more often than not when the ball was played up to him, the move either broke down or he lacked sufficient support.

Paddy McCourt (SUB, STAR MAN): 6.5 - Only on for 22 minutes, but the difference he made was palpable as he was the only Luton player to show any real signs of creativity.

Josh McQuoid (SUB): 5 - Hatters heads had dropped by the time he came on as there was little chance of a comeback.

Jack Marriott (SUB): 5.5 - Showed some spirit but Rovers were well in control by then.
