Matt Macey (STAR MAN): 8 - Busiest game so far as he made a string of fine saves throughout, his best from Sercombe’s low drive in the second half. Still not commanding enough from corners yet though, which were a constant threat for the visitors.

James Justin: 7 - Full back put in some excellent crosses from the right hand side while he remained composed when in possession as Town had to chase the game during the second period,

Jack Senior: 6.5 - Games like this will only aid the youngster’s development as he came up against an excellent Oxford attacking unit. Withdrawn at the interval in what was tactical switch by Jones.

Johnny Mullins: 6.5 - Up against his former side but Town’s defence as a whole looked shaky against set-pieces all evening with Oxford dangerous whenever they put the ball into the hosts area.

Alan Sheehan: 6.5 - Like Mullins, wasn’t able to dominate the United forwards as he has done in recent League Two matches. Moved out to left back for the second period to allow Hatters to alter personnel.

Glen Rea: 6.5 - Another who couldn’t quite get to grips with the Oxford midfield in the first period, picking up yet another booking for a rash challenge and seeing his passes picked off. More assured when alongside Mullins in the centre of defence after the break.

Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu: 8 - Midfielder was relishing his role in the second period as he was able to get on the ball and burst forward from deep. Does sometimes try too much in dangerous positions though when the simple ball is on.

Jake Gray: 6.5 - Could and definitely should have put the Hatters in front early on after a fine run into the box. Tough game to come back into after almost a month out and struggled in the second period, although it was his low shot that Eastwood spilled for Vassell to make it 2-1.

Jordan Cook: 6.5 - Didn’t see a great deal of the ball at the tip of the diamond in the opening 45 minutes and moved out slightly wider after Gambin’s introduction. Came close to a leveller as Eastwood spread himself well.

Isaac Vassell: 8 - Athleticism and sheer speed gave United’s back-line a real tough time throughout. Came within inches of making it 1-1 with a header kicked off the line before following up well to slam home and give Luton hope.

Danny Hylton: 8 - Striker’s instinct to turn Rea’s header into the net and level the tie, taking his tally to 20, the first time in his career he managed such a feat. Real battle against his former team-mates too as he gave as good as he got.

Luke Gambin (SUB): 7.5 - On at half time and instantly Luton looked so much better in possession as he found time and space to get the hosts on the front foot.

Jack Marriott: (SUB): 7 - Another lively cameo from the bench as he almost grabbed an equaliser, denied by Eastwood at the death.

Scott Cuthbert: (SUB): N/A - Thrown on for the final seconds as Luton won a corner.
