Hatters midfielder Jake Howells made his Yeovil Town debut during the Glovers 1-1 draw at home to AFC Wimbledon in League Two on Saturday.
The 24-year-old, who had only ever represented Luton in his professional career, playing 317 times, signed for Yeovil on a month’s loan on Friday afternoon and was straight into the first team, with boss Paul Sturrock saying afterwards: “I thought Howells had a steady debut.”
Matt Robinson began for Grimsby as they beat Aldershot Town 4-1 in the National League, with former Hatter Charlie Walker on target for the Shots.
Andy Parry was also in from the start but couldn’t prevent Altrincham from losing 3-1 at Wrexham.
Full back Mark Onyemah played 90 minutes for Dartford as they triumphed 2-1 over Weston-Super-Mare in National League South.
Midfielder Isaac Galliford came on after an hour for St Neots as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Tilbury in the FA Cup first round qualifying.
