Luton Town striker Jack Marriott has penned a contract extension until the summer of 2018.
The 21-year-old impressed throughout his first season at Kenilworth Road, finishing as the club’s leading scorer, netting 16 goals in all competitions.
Marriott had signed another contract in August taking him through to 2017, but boss Nathan Jones confirmed to the News/Gazette, this has been extended even further.
He said: “We’ve got him to 2018 now and we’re massively pleased that it has been agreed.
“We’re looking to keep him at the club for as long as possible, as again he’s one that potentially could have moved, but this is the right place for him.
“He would have got interest if we hadn’t been as strong as we are.”
