Midfielder Cameron McGeehan is determined to enjoy a winning start in his return to Luton colours at the weekend.

The Hatters visit AFC Wimbledon with the 19-year-old available to make his second debut after completing a three match suspension picked up while on loan at Cambridge United.

McGeehan said: “That’s what I’ve come here to do, help the team push on, but I want to play games and work really hard for my spot too.

“If I can get my spot, then I will work really hard to keep it and do my best for Luton too.”

On the game itself, McGeehan is aware Hatters will face a difficult test against AFC with a number of absentees, particularly in defensive positions.

He continued: “I think it’s going to be a tough game. It’s always tough missing big Macca (Steve McNulty) and (Luke) Wilkinson, as they’ve been a very strong back two this year.

“They’ve (AFC) got some good players, it’s a good challenge, but we’re definitely up for overcoming that and getting three points on the board would be great.”

Keeper Mark Tyler is fully aware of what to expect from the hosts’ surroundings too as he wants Luton to bounce back from Tuesday’s defeat at Mansfield.

He added: “It was our first game in the Conference there so we know what to expect.

“The ground is tight, the crowd are on top of you so it will be another good atmosphere.

“We’ll take a full house again of supporters and hopefully we can give them a bit more to shout about. “
