Full back Dan Potts believes that no-one will want to come up against Luton with the form the club are in right now.

Hatters host York City this weekend on the back of four straight League Two victories as after a slow start, they have climbed up to 10th in the table.

“We’re aiming for three points on Saturday, definitely, I don’t think the boys are looking any it any other way.”

Potts said: “We’re the in-form team and I don’t think anybody would want to play us at the moment

“We’re aiming for three points on Saturday, definitely, I don’t think the boys are looking any it any other way.

“It’s a home game, hopefully the crowd will play a big part as well. We’ve had two good home wins and two good away wins, so the aim is to keep the run going.”

Boss John Still is well aware that his side need to be fully on their game to secure victory number five against a struggling Minstermen though as he said: “All games are tough and I’m not 100 per cent sure, but I’ll have a little guess that some people would have thought Morecambe would beat Luton, but football’s not like that.

“Sometimes you only need two or three players to be off and not doing it properly and the other team to be bang on to change.

“I think all teams are finding it at all levels, Chelsea are finding it, Manchester United found it against Arsenal, if you’re not bang on it, the other team is going to beat you, so I think it’s important to be bang on it.”

Meanwhile, on the threats York possess, Still added: “The boy (Russell) Penn is always a decent player, he’s very workmanlike in midfield, he gets around the pitch.

“(Michael) Coulson upfront is busy, likes it into his feet, gets around you, I think he can cause a few problems, I’ve always quite liked him.

“The lad (Vadaine) Oliver, the forward, can be a handful, can be a bit up and down in his game sometimes. One of my old players, Femi Ilesanmi, who’s been part of a three man centre half.

“He’s quick, strong, great lad, he did terrific for me at Dagenham. They do have some decent players and some experienced players as well.

“So for them, coming to Luton isn’t going to faze them. With their experience, they’ll be quite up for it.”
