Magpies yet to make contact over Boucaud

Town chief Paul Buckle is yet to hear from Notts County manager Keith Curle over extending Andre Boucaud’s stay at Meadow Lane, writes Mark Wood.

The Magpies boss last week said he was seeking talks over the 28-year-old’s future as his loan runs out at the turn of the year.

Luton managing director Gary Sweet has said they would not want to extend the loan, although a permanent deal could still be in the offing – but at a price.

Buckle said: “I’ve not heard anything from Notts County. The loan has got a few weeks or months to run yet, so that’s not at the top of my list if you like.

“I spoke to Andre this week and where the fee’s concerned for a player, Gary (Sweet) deals with that side of it, I’m more than happy for that to happen.”
