New Hatters boss John Still has received the thumbs up from supporters after he was named as Paul Buckle’s successor on Tuesday afternoon, writes Mike Simmonds.

In an online poll run by the News/Gazette asking fans if they were happy with the appointment, over 300 voted with 80.43% believing the ex-Dagenham & Redbridge manager was the right choice to lead the club.

Still takes charge for the first time at Stockport County on Saturday and faces a huge task ahead, with Town languishing a 14 points away from the play-offs after Tuesday night’s 2-0 defeat at Braintree.
