Town boss waits on fitness of Gray and O’Donnell

Hatters boss Paul Buckle faces an anxious wait to see if duo Andre Gray and JJ O’Donnell are fit for tomorrow’s clash with AFC Telford, writes Mike Simmonds.

Gray limped off at the end of Saturday’s FA Trophy win over Skelmersdale as Buckle said: “I’m not sure yet. I’m hopeful that he’s going to be fit for tomorrow.”

On O’Donnell, who broke his nose in the 1-0 FA Cuo victory over Wolves, the boss continued: “JJ will be touch and go whether he makes it.

“Other than that, we’re okay and it’s about carrying on where we’ve left off from the last two games.”

Buckle isn’t giving injured duo Danny Spiller or Garry Richards any consideration while they remain in the treatment room as he said: “They’re getting closer, but I only deal with the players that are fit.

“It’s tough for the boys that are out injured, but I’ve got a good physio in Simon (Parsell) who deals with that and I’ll kick on with the lads who we’ve got fit.”

There was still no news of any transfer movement either as Buckle said: “I’ve got no time for that, we’ve got games being put back because of the Trophy, but maybe.

“I don’t see anything happen before tomorrow night though.”

Winger James Dance is still expected to go out on loan though as the boss added: “We’ve got a couple of clubs interested and it’s just about making the right move for James.”
