“I think we were a bit sloppy and not good enough in all departments, the result reflected that.”

Luton will look to get back to winning ways this weekend when Plymouth Argyle visit Kenilworth Road.

Lacey understands how crucial it is to get their first home triumph of the season as he added: “It’s important next Saturday to turn it around.

“We’ll just go back to the training ground, work hard and hopefully the result will come.”
