Barton Rovers chairman Darren Whiley believes his side can play without pressure in their Southern League Division One Central play-off at Royston Town this evening.

The Sharpenhoe Road club travel to the Crows, who finished second in the league, with Whiley saying: “We can’t wait for the game as the pressure is all on them.

“They’re 13 games unbeaten, a bigger club with a big budget, league runners up and probably have more to lose than us. It’s been a fantastic season and a thoroughly enjoyable one.

“For the small village club we are I think we have made a few people take notice that hard work, determination and a group of lads that want to play for you will always get results.”

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.45pm, and there will be a full report on the website tomorrow.
