Luton boxer Kay Prosper made it eight pro victories with a points success over James Gorman at York Hall last weekend.
The 31-year-old former Hockwell ABC fighter had meant to be up against Terry Needham, but his opponent was switched late on, so he took on Gorman, 36, who had had eight wins and 16 defeats, plus one draw from his 25 bouts.
After winning his last three fights by knock out, Prosper was happy to go the distance this time, taking the decision from the judges at the Goodwin Promotions bill.
Afterwards, Prosper tweeted: “Won unanimously on points last night. Happy to get the rounds under my belt. Big thank you to all that came out to support me and gave kind words of encouragement.”
He is now due to fight on the David Haye bill at the 02 Arena in May where is awaiting an opponent.
