An embarrassed schoolteacher has broken nearly two decades of silence to claim that he sang the lead vocals for reality TV star Timmy Mallet's '90s hit Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini.
The wacky I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star has been telling "teeny weeny" porkies in the jungle over his involvement in the number one song, according to Luton's Lea Manor High School deputy year head Everton Barnes.
The 45-year-old has finally confessed that he was drafted in to sing on the novelty record by producers Nigel Wright and Les McCutcheon because Timmy could not nail the high notes.
The former Wacaday children's TV presenter and his band Bombalurina held on to the top spot in the UK charts for three weeks in 1990 with their cover of Brian Hyland's 1960 hit.

He said: "I didn't have a problem with it at the time. I didn't make a lot of money from it, but to me it was just another session."
The former Lealands High School student was in a covers band at the time, and made more than 1,400 performances around London and Luton over 17 years.
Although he is now concentrating on a budding career in teaching, having just started a degree to become a history teacher, Everton says that he feels compelled to speak out after all this time after seeing Timmy singing the song on the jungle-based reality show as if it is his own work.
He said: "It's done my head in, even the kids at school are singing it."
And he said that, should Timmy emulate Peter Andre, who revived his musical career after appearing on the ITV1 show back in 2004, and re-release the hit record, he will make sure he gets the recognition he deserves this time.
He said: "If he brings the song out again I will definitely do everything I can to make sure I get paid this time."
Everton started at Lea Manor as a computer technician and became a deputy year head thanks to his musical background when the school was granted performance arts status.
Timmy is known locally as a former Drivetime presenter on BBC Three Counties Radio. His all-speech show in the late 1990s featured regulars such as Bert Trout (The Man Who Knows Nowt), who was played by current 3CR DJ, Ian Pearce, and "Competition Clown" Toby Wan Kenobe.
