Hundreds turn out to remember Mandip Mudhar
Nineteen teams from across the UK took part in the eighth annual Mandip Mudhar Memorial Charity Football Tournament at Vauxhall Recreation Ground.

Organisers set up the event in memory of the Luton youngster who died in a road accident in 2001.

Friends and family then founded the Mandip Mudhar Memorial Foundation in his memory with the aim of bringing 'positivity out of tragedy'. Cash raised from Saturday's event will be donated to Friends Of Bright Eyes, a Luton charity providing support for disabled children and their families.

Winners of the Plate Tournament were Punjab United from Milton Keynes, who won the competition two years ago, finishing ahead of Vauxhall Motors' team GM Grads B in second place.

Special thanks went to KS Construction which paid for the trophies and S&S Wines which provided the teams with refreshments.
