Eighties star Hazel O’Connor, the iconic singer-songwriter and actress, will be headlining at the big Dunstable Rocks! concert this weekend.
The open-air concert will have a packed programme of live music from 12noon-10pm on Saturday, August 31 – and it’s all free.
Dunstable Rocks! will be in Grove House Gardens, and seems set to be a fab finale for the Summer Of Music.
Hazel O’Connor, whose hits include Will You, Breaking Glass and Eighth Day, promises energy, passion and poignant moments.
She says: “The gig will be accessible for all ages, with some Breaking Glass and some new stuff which seems to always go down well. Above all, it will be a lot of fun and I am so excited to come and play.”
The line-up for the day, which includes local musicians, features Gin House Delta, Akiva, The Scruff, Carnaby Street and Donut. Main support act is Jean Genie, a David Bowie tribute.
There will be an outdoor bar and food stalls.
The Summer of Music is organised by Dunstable Town Council and is sponsored by Holiday Inn Express Dunstable and Houghton Regis Development Consortium.
