A Dunstable school has been producing the show Grease to packed audiences this month.

All Saints Academy students from Years 7-13 took part in the famous love story of Danny and Sandy set in an American High School in the 50s.

A spokesman for the school said: “Playing to packed audiences the cast and backstage crew put on a masterful production of this musical.

“The audiences were fully engrossed as the story of Sandy and Danny revealed itself. The acting and singing were truly amazing and the screenwriters’ humour was fully appreciated. The dancing was something else, and it was a delight to see students from all years – Year 7 to Year 13 - performing together with such panache, grace and confidence. Students at All Saints have talent and in great abundance!

“We were delighted to host a free show to Houghton Regis Primary Schools where the performance was received with a spontaneous wow! We are delighted that our future students could enjoy the show – we know that many amongst our younger audience were really impressed with the performance and want to see more – not least of our main characters!

“The audience’s response to the second performance brought the house down and was a true testimony to the quality of the production. We already have a demand for tickets for the next production!

“Huge thanks go to all students involved, especially to the backstage and front of house crews who made great efforts to make sure that the whole production ran smoothly. “
