Broadway Divas for Grove

A trio of leading ladies from the West End is set to grace the stage of Dunstable’s Grove Theatre next weekend.

The Broadway Divas will bring a touch of style with their stunning costumes, great musical arrangements and harmonious vocals.

Beth Humphreys, Laura Clinton and Leona Skimming have starred in numerous showbiz hits including Les Miserables, Those Were the Days and The Way We Were.
They will be performing a selection of favourite Broadway tunes as well as some secret gems the audience may not have heard before.

Beth is a classic singer with a crystal clear and pitch perfect voice. She played Eponine and Cossette in the London production of Les Miserables.

She has also played Trish in Boogie Nights and Anne Marie in Disney’s award-winning production Disney Dreams.

The sultry Laura Clinton – currently appearing in the role of the resident jazz singer in the BBC daytime drama WPC 56 – is wellknown on the panto circuit and has sung for leading cruise lines P&O and Carnival.

Her theatre credits include The Good Old Days, The Way We Were and The Songs That Won the War.

Leona Skimming is sassy, sexy and stylish with a soaring voice that – according to one critic – will leave ypu pinned to your seat. Formerly with girl band Lemonescent who had three top 40 hits, she has also supported acts like Lulu and Atomic Kitten.

Creative director David Kettle said: “The Divas are truly amazing performers and we can’t wait to bring what is guaranteed to be a memorable show to the Grove on March 16.”
