Broadway’s greatest hits in one musical

Starring Gareth Gates and Michael Courtney, the two=hour musical of London and New York favourites will come to the Grove Theatre on October 9.

The musical features numbers from Andrew Lloyd Webber, Rodgers & Hammerstein and others, such as All I Ask Of You and One Day More.

Gareth Gates is in the leading role of the production, having starred in a string of musicals since reaching the final of Pop Idol in 2001.

In recent years, Gates has appeared in productions of Les Miserables, Legally Blonde and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Last year he appeared in the final series of ITV’s Dancing on Ice.

Joining Gates is producer Michael Courtney, who has produced and directed productions of Waterloo and Shakin All Over, as well as over 30 pantomimes.

Courtney was nominated for Producer of the Year by Encore Magazine, and is currently on tour in his show Love Changes Everything.

Gates and Courtney will also be joined on stage by musical theatre actresses Rosanne Priest, Kerry O’Dowd and Nichola Lagen.

Mad About The Musicals aims to transport its audience “from the heart of London’s theatre land to the glitz of Broadway”.
