Cali-R’s new venue has a ‘wow’ factor

The former cinema, bingo hall and Cubes nightclub is now a state of the art venue that can seat 1,000.

But the lower-level seats will be removed on July 13 to provide a 300-plus capacity dancefloor.

Sid Hudson said: “It’s a fantastic venue and we’re really delighted to be invited to stage a Cali-R event there.

“The building has been restored beautifully and has a “wow” factor that few modern halls can match.

“Because the lower-level seats can be removed, the dancefloor provides a setting that’s tailor-made for Cali-R nights.

“It’s wonderful to have another brilliant centre to add to our other venues.

“With local favourites RDG playing live and Cali-R providing its own bar, it should be a spectacular night.”

As always, Sid will be manning the decks for a night of soul, funk and reggae.
