Peter Pan flies in to the Alban Arena on Friday, December 4, with the show running until Sunday, January 3.

This year’s fun-filled festive extravaganza stars Jake Wood, known to millions as Max Branning from EastEnders and for his hot-stepping high-jinks in Strictly Come Dancing. Prepare to boo and hiss as he plays the role of the dastardly arch-villain Captain Hook.

Attempting to overcome his nastiness will be Katrina Bryan, a favourite among young ones everywhere for her role in Nina and the Neurons on CBeebies.

And St Albans’ very own comedy legend, the one and only Bob Golding, will be the personification of dignity and elan - well, maybe - in his role as Mrs Smee.

As is tradition with the Alban Arena pantomime, the show will be written by Paul Hendy, and brought to you by the same creative team behind last year’s smash hit Jack and the Beanstalk.

A theatre spokesman said: “With lots of audience participation and spectacular special effects, this promises to be our biggest and most spectacular pantomime ever.
