Festive fayre from Dickens

But The Full House has put its own creative spin on the much-loved classic festive tale.

They’ve produced a spellbinding musical, featuring beautifully-crafted puppets, snowy wintry scenes and popular Christmas sing-along songs.

The action takes place on Christmas Eve and is based on three curious characters accidentally locked in a children’s library overnight.

As they wait to be rescued, they share the charming story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s transformation from skinflint to generous gentleman.

The Full House Theatre uses imagination and humour to create interactive, educational entertainment for audiences of all ages. Previous productions include Rapunzel and Beauty and the Beast.

Directors Ben Miles and Harriet Hardie both trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Ben worked as an actor in Paris before returning to London and Harriet’s previous comminity projects include working with displaced people in Azerbaijan.

The company is supported by Arts Council England.

Luton Culture spokeswoman Tahmina Saleem said: “This fantastic new version of A Christmas Carol promises to be the ultimate festive treat for all the family.”

> A Christmas Carol will be at Luton’s Library Theatre from December 13 - 23, with a special sign language performance on Saturday, December 20 at 2.30pm.
