Filming started at the Luton and Bedford campuses on Saturday when the group moved into university halls.

The television crews will follow the 18 and 19-year-olds for a fortnight to document all the highs and lows of living away from home for the first time.

From meeting flatmates, making new friends, cooking, cleaning, and going to the Freshers’ Fair, the documentary will show exactly what it’s like to be a fresher.

The show, made by Mentorn Media, is expected to be aired on ITV2 at the end of this month.

Mentorn Media have previously produced programmes including An Idiot Abroad, Greggs: More Than Meets The Pie and the award-winning Katie: My Beautiful Face.
