From 1pm to 3pm, children and their parents or carers can take part in a variety of workshops. Try your hand at natural art, have a taster of growing your own veg, and harness your inner chef in Ready, Steady, Cook – then get rid of extra energy with some outdoor activities.

Workshops will be run by community charity, Groundwork Luton & Bedfordshire, Luton Culture, Active Luton, SEPT and Love Food Hate Waste.

Places are free but will be allocated on a first come, first served basis – so don’t miss out. Please note that children must be accompanied by at least one adult.

The family-friendly event is part of a wider project, called Veg Fest. It involves 12 schools from across Luton who have been growing their own fruit and veg and will display their produce at a competition in October.

The pupils are also learning about the environment, health and nutrition.

Veg Fest is run by Groundwork, with funding from Luton Council Public Health and the East Luton Area Board.
