Luton playwright up for three Baftas
Jack, who was born in Bristol but now lives in the town, was nominated today for The Last Panthers, This is England 90 and Don’t Take My Baby.
The prestigious awards will be handed out on May 8 in London.

Hide AdJack, aged 37, has written for radio, theatre and film, most notably on the TV shows Skins, Cast-offs, the three This Is England series, The Fades, The Last Panthers and the feature film The Scouting Book for Boys.
He has also written the play from the original new Harry Potter story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which will be officially opening in London in July.
Hearing of the nomination NGYT theatre, based in Luton, tweeted: ‘Not in the slightest bit surprised to announce our patron Jack Thorne has been nominated for 3 Baftas.’
