Something for everyone as MK theatre announces its summer extravaganzas

It’s full steam ahead as the Milton Keynes Theatre announces its summer offerings.

First off is Hot Flush with Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph. The show promises friendships, secrets, laughs tears and the ups and downs of four ordinary women, and one man, living extraordinary lives.

If dancing is your thing, Dance ‘Til Dawn is the story of a 1940s LA and a romance unfolding between a beautiful starlet and his handsome lovers. Then there is the juggernaut that is Fame The Musical, updated for today but still a high octane roller coaster rise through dizzy heights and crashing lows as a group of starstruck wannabees embark on their quest for the ultimate accolade.

Keeping it musical is Elvis Presley on stage, using the latest technology, Elvis performs via a state of the art video screen singing lead vocals backed by a live band.

For ballet lovers, Northern Ballet performs A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream and then just for the kids its their production of The Three Little Pigs.

Fans of the Great British Bake Off can watch Paul Hollywood demonstrate recipes, reveal some of the secrets of being a TV chef and take audiences on a journey through his life in baking.

TV impersonator Alistair McGowan stars with Rula Lenska and Eastenders Jamie Foreman in Pygmalion.

June sees some musical extravaganzas with five music shows.

There’s The Drifters with their Optimum Tour, featuring such classics as Under The Broadwalk and Saturday Night at the Movies.

West Side Story and Happy Days evokes memories of the 50s and 60s while for lovers of the rock and roll and the cool sounds of the Rat Pack, That’ll Be The Day is bringing is 2014 tour to Milton Keynes with classic gold hots from the 1950s, 60s and 70s,followed by The Rat Pack Vegas Spectacular.
