Take a pew for string quartet

LEIGHTON Buzzard Music’s season continues on December 3 at Hockliffe Street Baptist Church with The Piatti String Quartet, one of the most talented young ensembles to enter the professional scene in recent years, having already won several prestigious prizes including the St Martin’s Chamber Music competition in association with Making Music and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Award.

Their programme will be Mozart’s Dissonance Quartet in C, K 465, Debussy’s String Quartet in G minor and Smetana’s intensely autobiographical Quartet No1 (From My Life).

Tickets are on sale in advance at Buzzard Books, 7 Rylands Mews (off Lake Street) or at the door on the night. The concert starts at 8pm.
