Meet panto stars in The Mall

Oh yes they will! Leslie Grantham, famed as Dirty Den in EastEnders, will be appearing there with the Dick Whittington Pantomime Roadshow.

And he will be joined by fellow cast members including Jasette Amos, Leon Craig and Ben Irish.

They will be in The Mall at about 12noon and will be in full costume. They may not find the streets paved with gold – but it’s a golden opportunity to meet the stars.

Dick Whittington will be staged at the Grove Theatre, Dunstable, from December 13-January 5.

Leslie Grantham plays panto baddie Dirty Rat. But he isn’t the only TV soap legend in the show.

Ryan Moloney, aka Toadfish from Neighbours, will be playing Idle Jack.

West End star Leon Craig comes to Dunstable direct from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stadium tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. He’ll be playing panto dame Sarah the Cook in Dick Whittington.

Jasette Amos is another West End and singing star in the panto. She starred in the international tour of West End hit musical Daddy Cool and has sung with leading performers in the music industry.

Lucy Reed will tread the boards as Alice Fitzwarren.

And the title role of Dick Whittington?

That has gone to Ben Irish, who was awarded a coveted contract for the role as winner of the theatre’s Panto Factor search for a star event.
